Every face tells a story and reflects a lifetime of adventures and memories. 

Through the Eyes is a photography project by Scott Petersmeyer Photography that celebrates the seniors behind the stories.

Located in care homes, retirement communities, or anywhere else that makes the subjects comfortable, my sessions bring joy and capture meaningful moments in time. Whether it's a classic portrait, a spontaneous laugh, or an infectious smile, each image is a celebration of a life well-lived. My goal is to have some fun and take great pictures!

The sessions are free with no obligations and no strings attached. After each session, I make edited photographs available to residents and families as lasting reminders. As a thank you to the staff and residents, I also provide a free photo book for each location. I'm developing plans for a photography exhibit based on select images from our combined sessions.

Through the Eyes is about meeting people, honoring lives, and preserving a special moment in time.
